U4GM Guide to FH6 Japan Barn Finds and Stamps

You don't unlock Japan's Barn Finds by just smashing through races and hoping the game hands you a classic. The stamp system rewards poking around, trying side activities, and actually playing the map. Street races, touge battles, food deliveries, photo spots, mascot challenges, Drift Club events, Day Trips, upgrades, and car collecting all help. Still, you'll notice pretty fast that Stories are the big one. Those yellow-badge events push stamp progress harder than most activities, so if you're chasing rare cars, start there and save your FH6 Credits for moments where they really matter.
How Barn Find Unlocks WorkThere are 15 Barn Find cars tied to Discover Japan stamp ranks, and the list doesn't change from one save to another. What can change is the order you hear about them. The first tier, Visitor, brings the 2005 Honda NSX-R GT. Sightseer opens up the 1969 Toyota 2000GT and 1987 Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500. Traveller adds the 1971 Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R and 1989 Nissan Pao. Pathfinder is a big jump, with the 1982 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3, 1984 Peugeot 205 Turbo 16, 1962 Lincoln Continental, and 1998 Nissan #23 Pennzoil NISMO Skyline GT-R. Navigator gives you the 1997 Mitsubishi Montero Evolution and Lamborghini Diablo SV, while Adventurer unlocks the 1998 Nissan R390 GT1 and 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Time Attack. Master Explorer closes it out with the 1983 Nissan Skyline Turbo Super Silhouette and 1991 Mazda 787B.
Where To Start SearchingThe barns are spread across the Japan map, so don't expect one neat loop to cover everything. Ohtani has three, including the NSX-R GT near a river valley dirt climb, the Porsche tucked into bamboo, and the R390 GT1 near the Ohtani and Shimanoyama border. Ito is busier, with four finds: the Toyota 2000GT near the coast, the Sierra on a wooded hill, the Diablo near a three-way junction, and the Skyline Super Silhouette on a southwestern dirt path. Nangan holds the Skyline 2000GT-R, Minamino hides the Pao, and Hokubu has the Lincoln in a central forest patch. Takashiro contains the Pennzoil GT-R and Mazda 787B, while Shimanoyama gives you the Peugeot 205 T16, Montero Evolution, and Lancer Time Attack.
Restoration Is Part Of The ChaseFinding the barn isn't the same as driving away in the car. Once discovered, the vehicle gets sent off for restoration, and you'll have to wait before it joins your garage. Some repairs are quick enough to ignore. Others can drag on, especially when you're itching to tune the thing and take it straight into the hills. You can speed the process up with credits, but I wouldn't burn them on every dusty shell you find. Use skips for the cars you truly want to drive right now. The Treasure Map can reveal barn positions, which is handy, but it won't skip stamp ranks or restoration. You still have to earn the access.
Best Cars To PrioritiseIf you're picking favourites, the Mazda 787B, Nissan R390 GT1, and Honda NSX-R GT are the clear headline cars. The 787B has that Le Mans myth around it, and yes, the rotary sound is half the appeal. The R390 feels special because it's such a rare road-going homologation machine. The NSX-R GT is another one collectors will chase hard. Just below them, the Skyline GT-R models, Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3, Peugeot 205 T16, and Sierra RS500 are all worth your time. The Nissan Pao won't scare anyone in a straight line, but it's got charm. If you're short on cash and want to buy cheap FH6 Credits, use them sensibly on key restorations rather than wasting them on cars you'll park after one drive.
