Plex on FireTV 2 is very unreliable in playing videos:

Love Plex! I have been using it for past 2-3 years. The app on the FireTV 2 many times fails to resume the video. The error it gives is "failed to play video..please check server" something on those lines. At the same time if I try to cast the video from phone it works perfectly. Also sometimes the video fails to start on FireTV 2 and gives error. "Unable to reach server...please check if server is running" something along those lines. This is when I start the video from the beginning.

Every time I try to play the video the error comes back and I click "Retry". It does not go away until I restart the FireTV or force close Plex. BTW the server is running, wifi is connected on 5GHz. Other apps like Netflix work perfectly on the FireTV. No issues playing the same video using Chromecast. Source:here.
