Subject: Keeping Your Survival Instincts Sharp: Tips for High-Stakes Combat in Infestation

Being a survivor in Infestation is no easy task. Whether you are scavenging for rare loot in Clearview or trying to avoid a sniper's nest near the airport, the game constantly tests your nerves. One of the biggest challenges I face, and I'm sure many of you do too, is maintaining that split-second reaction time during long play sessions. After hours of sneaking around zombies, your fingers can get a bit "stiff," and your focus might start to drift—right before a rival player jumps out of the bushes.
To combat this "survivor fatigue," I’ve started using a specific method to keep my hand-eye coordination at its peak during breaks. Instead of just stepping away from the PC, I play a few rounds of a high-speed precision game called Slice Master.
It might seem like a simple game, but the mechanical requirements of Slice Master are actually perfect for warming up your mouse-clicking rhythm and timing. The game is all about flipping a blade and slicing through targets with micro-second accuracy. This "Video Game Entity" training helps keep your brain in a "combat-ready" state. When you transition back from the fast-paced flipping in Slice Master to the high-stakes gunfights of Infestation, you’ll find that your ability to track moving targets and time your shots is significantly sharper.
I’ve recommended Slice Master to my clan members as a "reflex trainer" while we wait for a server restart or during downtime when we are regrouping at the safe zone. It’s lightweight, runs in the browser, and doesn’t distract you too much from the strategic mindset needed for survival. In fact, the precision needed to land a perfect hit in Slice Master is very similar to landing that crucial headshot on a sprinting zombie.
How do you guys keep your focus during those 5-hour survival marathons? Do you have any other small games or exercises that help you stay alert for PvP encounters? I’d love to hear your routines for staying at the top of the leaderboard!
Stay safe out there, and watch your back!
