Online Guide: Play DVD on smart TV via Chromecast 2

Although Chromecast 2 can cast local files with the Google cast browser extension and usually chrome the browser will have no trouble of handling kinds of video types, but also not includes DVD. As far as I know it's not like that you can directly cast movies played from the laptop's DVD drive, what you can do is to rip DVD to digital movie files first.

Thanks for sharing this post, and I get a full knowledge to rip DVD to smart TV via Chromcast. But as an iTunes addict, I also would like to burn iTunes movies to DVD for watching iTunes videos on smart TV. All I know is that iTunes movies and TV shows are encrypted by FairPlay DRM technology, and are not allowed to play on non-Apple devices. When I hang out on the Internet, I heard that iTunes DRM movie converter could remove DRM protection from iTunes purchases and rentals and convert iTunes M4V to other common formats, such as MOV, MP4, AVI, MKV, etc. Do you have any other solution for me to do this?
